Visit of Education Secretary Damian Hinds to TTLT

On Thursday, 18th January the Trust was visited by the Secretary of State for Education, Damian Hinds.

Mr Hinds came to see the work at Curwen Primary and also the work of our trust — The Tapscott Learning Trust. He was greatly impressed by the children and their abilities and the effectiveness of the school and praised our wonderful staff for the work they have done. He also highlighted the fantastic  work we are doing in partnership across the Trust and the professional development and school improvement work that we are doing. During his visit he announced that a number of trusts that applied for funds had been successful. We are delighted to say that The Tapscott Learning Trust has been awarded a grant to do this work. This is fantastic news and a great opportunity for us to further strengthen our work across our schools and with others through the development of the Training Hub. This will include leadership development and training in autism awareness.
