Learning in Year 3

What has year 3 been up to this term?

Year 3 have been doing some amazing work in their English lessons! We have been reading The Twits by Roald Dahl and the children have really enjoyed reading the book. They have been writing a persuasive text, using words and phrases to help convince the writer that the Twits should be punished. Some of the children have been writing about why the Twits should not be punished.

Also, there have been some amazing events and workshops that the year 3s have attended this term. Year 3 attended a dance workshop, where they learnt a Bollywood dance and were learning dance moves that are popular in Bollywood dance. They all loved it.

Lastly, for culture day, the children came in wearing an outfit which represented where they came from. We have been learning about what it means to be multilingual, and the children were learning how to say hello in their peer’s language!
