Learning in Rainbow Room
Rainbow Room
This half-term has started off with a bang! The children came back full of smiles, excitement, and eager to dive into their learning. It’s been wonderful to see everyone so happy to be back in school. In Rainbow Room, we’re exploring the topic of “Growing”, using the classic tale Jack and the Beanstalk as our inspiration. This week, the children began planting their very own seeds, kicking off an exciting journey of observing how plants grow. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be learning all about what plants need to thrive and how to care for them—building both scientific understanding and a sense of responsibility. Our learning doesn’t stop there! Alongside our planting, we’ll be diving into the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, using it as a springboard for activities in reading, writing, and counting. It’s a magical way to tie literacy and numeracy into our everyday classroom fun. We’re also thrilled about our upcoming trip to the Discover Children’s Story Centre in Stratford next week! This is a fantastic opportunity for children to experience public transport and explore a space that brings stories to life in an interactive and imaginative way. As always, we kindly remind parents and carers to continue promoting independence at home. Please also make regular use of your child’s communication book and Studybugs to stay in touch with us. Your support helps us work together to create the best learning environment possible. We can’t wait to see what this term brings! Warm wishes,
The Rainbow Room Team
