Kensington School PTA
Kensington School PTA turned back the clock to mark VE Day with a fantastic community celebration on Friday, 2nd May. Residents of all ages were invited to join the festivities, which included a mix of wartime-themed fun and classic British spirit.
The day kicked off with VE-inspired sports events, bringing people together through friendly competition and nostalgic games. From egg and spoon races to old-fashioned tug-of-war, the whole community got involved.
A street-style party followed, featuring “rationed” food reminiscent of the 1940s, bunting and flag making, and of course, plenty of VE Day music that got everyone dancing. Children and adults alike enjoyed the creative crafts, while vintage tunes filled the air, bringing history to life.
With flags flying and spirits high, Kensington proudly honoured the legacy of Victory in Europe Day. Neighbours came together to celebrate and experience the joy, resilience, and community spirit that defined this historic moment.
