Culture at Kensington!
This week, Year 3 students enjoyed an exciting and creative visit to the Olympic Park. As part of their art curriculum, the children explored a range of art movements, with a special focus on Impressionism. Inspired by the surroundings and the vibrant atmosphere of the park, they created their own stunning pieces of artwork using watercolours, oil pastels, and sketching techniques.
The visit offered the perfect setting for creativity, and students took time to observe the scenery before expressing their interpretations through their chosen medium. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to connect their learning with real-life experiences.
After their artistic endeavours, the class took a well-deserved break and cooled off in the popular Splash area, where laughter and joy filled the air. It was a memorable day that combined creativity, learning, and play.
To end the week on a high, the whole school celebrated Multicultural Day on Friday. Pupils arrived dressed in vibrant cultural clothing, proudly showcasing their heritage. Several classes also brought in delicious traditional dishes to share, creating a colourful and tasty celebration of diversity. It was a fun-filled day enjoyed by all, highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of the school community.
