Blue Class have been reading the story Handa's Surprise. We have tasted all the different fruits from the story, been running our own fruit stall in class and now we are creating our own version of the story - not set in Kenya like the original but in London!  Instead of giraffes and monkeys, our story has squirrels and butterflies. And instead of "Handa's Surprise", our story is called "Ibrahim's Surprise". This story making has helped us to develop our communication skills, vocabulary, imagination and also helped us to learn about contrasting localities around the world. As well as our class story, the children have been creating their own story settings too - such fantastical settings as "Unicorn and Fairy Land" (Khadija), Pokemon World (Zakariya) and Rainbow Land (Maya). What wonderful imaginations Blue Class are developing!
