Learning in Reception

This half-term in Reception, we are learning all about transport. We are using both fiction and non-fiction texts to help us gain an understanding of different vehicles – so far, we have focused on aeroplanes and boats. The children loved looking at different images and even comparing modern planes to the very first working plane built 123 years ago!

Some eager children have even been building planes in our outdoor construction area using crates, wooden planks and blocks. This week, we are having fun with an experiment on floating and sinking, inspired by our book of the week: Who Sank the Boat? Great work, Reception children!
