Year 1- Celebrating World Book Day

Children and staff had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book characters. The school was filled with colourful costumes, from brave heroes and magical wizards to classic storybook characters. It was wonderful to see everyone sharing their love of books and stories.
Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of fun activities inspired by their favourite books. They enjoyed storytelling, creative writing, and drawing their favourite characters. These activities helped bring the stories to life and encouraged the children to think about the adventures that books can take us on. One of the highlights of the day was buddy reading with Year 3. The children paired up and spent time reading together, sharing stories and helping each other with new words. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to build confidence in their reading while enjoying books with their friends.
World Book Day was a wonderful celebration of reading, imagination, and creativity, and everyone had a brilliant time taking part.
