Run, Run, Run at Kensington!

It was all about running last week at Kensington! All children from Year 1 to Year 6 took part in the TCS Mini Marathon in Schools, completing their 2-mile virtual run, as well as participating in Intra-Sports Week during their fitness sessions.

Throughout the week, the playground was full of energy as children ran laps, took part in shuttle runs, and challenged themselves to reach the full distance. The children showed fantastic determination, resilience, and enthusiasm, encouraging one another every step of the way. It was wonderful to see such high levels of participation, with every child giving their best effort and working towards a shared goal.

In addition, forty children from Kensington Primary had a wonderful day taking part in the Mini London Marathon last Saturday. The weather was beautiful and sunny, creating the perfect atmosphere for such a special event.

The children showed great enthusiasm and pride as they completed the course. Parents joined the children, making the experience even more memorable. Crossing the finish line was a huge achievement, and the children wore their medals home with pride and  big smiles.

It was truly a fantastic week of sport and achievement, and one that the children will remember for years to come. Well done to everyone who took part.
