Food exploration

The children have been learning different skills related to food preparation this term. They've learnt lots of fine motor skills, turn taking, trying new food, how to safely use some kitchen appliances, and patience. Some of the things they've learnt is how to whisk angel delight; mix icing sugar and decorate cakes; use the microwave to make popcorn and to sensibly pour cereal and milk. Some children have learnt to try foods they've never tasted before, which is especially useful for those with more particular palettes. This has been a very motivating weekly activity, and one we're continuing to expand each week

Kind regards
