Learning in Year 4

This week, Year 4 have been immersing themselves in the wonderful creative book Slime. The children have used this text to inspire their writing, and it has also supported our instruction-writing work, where we made slime in class.

The children have now completed their Multiplication Tables Check (MTC), and everyone performed brilliantly, showing remarkable progress and very high overall attainment scores.

In Maths, we have been using the ideas from Slime to work on coordinates. The children have been locating, plotting, and translating points with growing confidence, using the Isle of Mulch for their mapping.

In History, we continue to learn about the Romans. The children have recently made brilliant Roman helmets, ready to present to the Senate for approval.

Overall, it has been another busy and productive week in school.

As the weather gets warmer, please ensure children come to school with water and sun cream.
