Creativity in Year 2

Year 2 have been very busy this week creating fantastic habitats for their chosen minibeasts. Before making their habitats, the children carried out research to find out where their minibeast lives, what it eats and what other plants and animals might be found in its environment.

Using their knowledge and creativity, the children carefully designed and built habitats that would meet the needs of their minibeasts. The finished projects look incredible and show just how much effort and learning has taken place.

We also celebrated the importance of multilingualism by reading Luli and the Language of Tea. The children explored how language helps us connect with others and learnt how to say “tea” in different languages from around the world. Inspired by the story, they designed their own beautiful teacups, showcasing their creativity and appreciation of different cultures.

Well done, Year 2, for another week of fantastic learning!
