Learning in Year 2

It has been a busy and exciting week for Year 2, filled with both sports and outdoor learning.

We kicked things off with Sports Day, where the children showed great determination and team spirit. Everyone gave it their all across a variety of races, from sprinting to the classic egg-and-spoon race. It was fantastic to see the children cheering each other on and demonstrating such good sportsmanship throughout the day.

Later in the week, class Y2R visited the Soanes Centre for a hands-on science trip. Working as mini-scientists, the children took part in pond-dipping and a minibeast hunt under logs and leaves. They managed to spot a variety of creatures, including water boatmen, worms, and slugs. The children asked excellent questions and showed great respect for nature during the visit.

Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped out and made both events possible.
