Year 4’s Exciting Educational Visit to Fulham Palace
Year 4’s Exciting Educational Visit to Fulham Palace
Year 4 had a fantastic educational trip to Fulham Palace, bringing history and science to life in a truly memorable way. The visit perfectly complemented their science learning about plants and their environments, as pupils explored the beautiful palace gardens, sketched flowers and greenery, and enjoyed the sunshine with a picnic and play in the natural
playground.
Each class took part in an exciting, hands-on history workshop tailored to a different era.
One class stepped back in time to the Stone Age, grinding spelt and building a shelter.
Another explored Roman life through interactive learning, while a third class dove into Viking history, complete with dressing up, examining artefacts, and even making sparks with flint!
The day was full of curiosity and discovery—especially when we stumbled upon a hidden door in the library inside the palace! It was a magical and enriching experience that brought learning to life across the curriculum.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parent volunteers who gave their time and energy to help make this day truly magical—we couldn’t have done it without you!
