Science Across the School

Science has been buzzing with exciting discoveries across all year groups this term!

  • Year 1 have been learning all about where our food comes from. From farm to fork, they’ve explored how different foods are grown, produced, and prepared.

  • Year 2 have begun exploring electricity – a bright and engaging topic! They’re investigating simple circuits and identifying appliances that use electricity. This electrifying topic will continue into next term.

  • Year 3 are delving into the fascinating world of evolution and adaptation. They’ve been learning how animals have changed over time to survive in their environments.

  • Year 4 have covered a range of topics, including understanding what an allergy is, how to classify plants and animals, how seeds are dispersed, and the different environments plants live in. A fantastic variety of learning!

  • Year 5 have been investigating forces, including air resistance and gravity. Through experiments and hands-on learning, they’ve seen these invisible forces in action.

  • Year 6 are becoming classification experts as they work on grouping and identifying animals based on their characteristics.
