Learning in Year 2

What an exciting week we’ve had!

The sunny weather gave us the perfect chance to spend more time outdoors, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying fresh air during our breaks and activities.

In science, we dived into the fascinating world of electricity. The children explored how electricity works and, importantly, how to stay safe around electrical devices. It was great to see their curiosity spark as they learned about circuits, switches, and the importance of safety.

One of the highlights this week was using Chrome Music Lab to create digital music. Each child was challenged to compose a musical piece inspired by a specific animal. This activity combined creativity with technology, allowing them to experiment with sounds and rhythms. The results were impressive, from buzzing bees to roaring lions, their music really brought the animals to life!

We’re proud of all the hard work and enthusiasm Year 2 has shown this week. Keep up the fantastic effort.
