Sports Day at Kensington Primary School
Kensington enjoyed two fantastic Sports Days filled with energy, excitement, and incredible achievements!
Over the course of both days, the children proudly showcased their athletic skills and techniques across a wide variety of activities. From sprints and relays to throwing, jumping, and team games, every child gave it their all, demonstrating determination, focus, and a real love for sport. It was a joy to see such enthusiastic participation from all year groups, with cheers of encouragement echoing across the field.
The weather was absolutely perfect, bright, dry, and just the right temperature for peak performance and lots of outdoor fun. It created the ideal setting for children, staff, and families to come together and celebrate the values of teamwork, perseverance, and friendly competition.
A true spirit of sportsmanship shone through the entire event. Children supported one another with big smiles and high-fives, whether they came first or last. The atmosphere was made even more electric by the participation of parents and teachers, who raced alongside each other in a thrilling sprint event that brought plenty of laughs and unforgettable moments!
Congratulations to our winning teams — in Reception and KS1, Sir Chris Hoy (green team) took the lead, while in KS2, Sir Mo Farah (blue team) crossed the finish line in first place. What an achievement! But in truth, every team showed exceptional effort, cooperation, and heart, and to us, that makes everyone a winner.
A huge well done to all the pupils, staff, and families who made these Sports Days so special. We are so proud of every individual who took part. Here's to many more days of fun, fitness, and community spirit at Kensington!
