Learning in Year 5

This term has been one of hard work, and fun in Year 5.

In the last fortnight, we participated in a national virtual event called Create Day, to explore the Convention

on the Rights of the Child, and also develop our Communication skills, through dance and song.  A video of the performance has been posted in Y5SP's Google Classroom, if you would like to check it out.

In maths we have learned how to measure angles, as well as how to plot, and read coordinates.  We then applied these skills to translating shapes.

In Culture, we learned about the style and artists of the Cubism and Pop Art movements from last century.  We then created some truly fabulous art in these styles.  Remember to ask your child if you want to know more about this or t o see the work they brought home.
