Year 2 have had a wonderful couple of weeks learning all about our local area as part of their Culture topic. The highlight was a visit to a South Indian restaurant, where the children had the chance to sample a range of delicious traditional dishes, including idli, dosa, and kesari. It was lovely to see everyone trying new flavours and enjoying the experience together!

In English, the children have been diving into the classic tale Hansel and Gretel. They have been making predictions about what might happen next in the story and working hard to sequence the main events. Next, they’ll begin retelling the story in their own words and writing their very own versions — we can’t wait to read them!
