Intervention group learning

Article: English

In the intervention groups, our theme has been under the sea, and we've been reading Shark's Big Surprise. In IG3 and IG2, they've been using colourful semantics to identify who, what, where, and what they are doing – and starting to create sentences using these answers. In IG1, they've been expanding their vocabulary – whether upscaling their language during interventions such as box clever, or identifying colours, pictorial representations of objects. And lots of children have been making huge progress reading through the RWI phonics books, and are now writing words from the book from memory.
