Kensington Primary School

Learning in Year 1

This week in Year 1, the children have been busy building important skills across the curriculum. In writing, we have been developing stamina by encouraging the children to write for longer periods, focusing on forming sentences independently and taking pride in their work. In maths, we have been practising number bonds, helping the children to recall them more confidently and understand how numbers work together. In PH, the children have been working hard on their tennis and ball skills, improving their coordination, control, and teamwork through fun and active activities. It has been a positive week of learning, and the children should be very proud of their efforts.
