This week in Reception, the children listened to a song story book called' Magic train ride', as part of our transport theme. In this story, the train takes passengers to various 'magical' locations such as space, underwater and cake land. The children in reception had to use their imagination and draw where their train would take them. They then used their phonics knowledge to write phrases/ sentences about the train ride. The children produced amazing writing pieces, considering that they had only begun learning to read and write in September.
