Learning in Year 5

It has been an action-packed term for Year 5, with students diving deep into both academic and physical challenges. In Mathematics, we have mastered the complexities of fractions, developing our skills in adding, comparing, and calculating fractions of amounts with growing confidence. Our English journey took us back to Ancient Greece; after analysing the structure of classic myths, students applied their reading skills to craft their own epic tales of gods and heroes.
In Science, we looked toward the stars to explore the mechanics of the Moon and the changing seasons, while our Communication sessions sparked brilliant intellectual curiosity through philosophy and spirited debate. Finally, in Physical Education, students have been pushing their physical limits in gymnastics, focusing on strength, balance, and flexibility as they attempted headstands and half-levers.
It is wonderful to see the children growing into such well-rounded and inquisitive learners!
