Recent Learning in Year 3

Our Year 3 pupils have recently engaged in some wonderfully stimulating learning both inside and outside the classroom. In mathematics, the children have been masterfully exploring spatial turns, applying their prior knowledge of clockwise and anti-clockwise movements to grasp quarter, half, three-quarter, and full turns. Our curriculum was further enriched by two fantastic educational visits: a trip to Wanstead Park to consolidate our scientific understanding of natural habitats, and a visit to St Barnabas Church to deepen our exploration of places of worship within our Beliefs curriculum. Meanwhile, in English, we have been deeply immersed in The Firework-Maker’s Daughter, examining the text to analyse and compare different character viewpoints.
