Pupil Parliament Week
Please watch the video below that Kensington's Pupil Parliament has created.
Pupil Parliament, consisting of elected School Council members from schools within the trust, meets to share ideas and plan whole-school initiatives. They come together with the aim of making positive changes within their schools and the broader community.
Pupil Parliament Week, taking place from November 6th-12th, aims to educate young people about the work of Parliament. It also seeks to inspire them to use their voices to speak up on issues that matter to them. To achieve this, Pupil Parliament members Saharsh and Zahra, along with support from the School Council, created an informative video. The video breaks down the role of the House of Commons, House of Lords and The King. All classes were then encouraged to participate in a debate on a range of intriguing topics, such as whether KS2 children should be in government.
