Y4S A Week of Hands-on Learning!
Dear Parents and Carers,
What an incredible week it has been in Y4S! The children have been buzzing with excitement as they immersed themselves in a range of practical, hands-on lessons, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
In Gymnastics, the class has been working diligently on their techniques to prepare and develop challenging moves such as the Japana Flag and the Frog Balance. With focus and determination, the children displayed excellent coordination and strength, and it was wonderful to see their confidence grow with every session.
During our Technology lesson, the children explored the fascinating world of sound manipulation.
They experimented with changing pitch, tone, and volume, creating unique soundscapes that left everyone in awe of their inventive ideas. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to combine science and creativity in a fun and engaging way.
In Maths, we delved deeper into subtraction problems, applying the regrouping method using concrete and pictorial resources. The children worked collaboratively to solve challenging problems, developing their understanding of this essential concept. It’s been fantastic to see their confidence grow as they transfer these skills to other mathematical challenges.
We’re so proud of the enthusiasm and effort Y4S has shown this week. The practical approach to learning has truly brought their lessons to life, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to another exciting week ahead.
Best regards,
Mr Shamji
