Kensington Primary School

Y5 visit to Little Ilford

Kensington develops links with local secondary school.

This week, year 5 were doing secondary school lessons! We had the exciting opportunity to attend a "taster" session at Little Ilford. Our pupils enjoyed being taught the following subjects by secondary school teachers: textiles, art, drama, science, geography and RE.

"I loved the science lesson!" exclaimed Kris. "We heated metals using a Bunsen burner and a loop to see what colour they produce."

"In geography, we were comparing British Isles to Great Britain and the United Kingdom. It was a lovely challenge!" reported Rhea.

All agreed that the experience made them both more excited and more confident about graduating from Kensington and moving on.
