Y6 Group 1 @ Fair Play House
"WOW!" "MUMMMMMY!" and "I'M SO MUDDY!"
"WOW!" "MUMMMMMY!" and "I'M SO MUDDY!"are just some of the phrases buzzing around Year 6 this week as our first half of the year group went on their residential visit to Fairplay House. Throughout the duration of our stay, our children faced many challenges, including: a high ropes course, caving, archery, a giant swing, making their own lunches and bed, doing the washing up and packing their own suitcases. Although we had some tears, we were absolutely blown away by how much our children achieved during such a short period of time and how they overcame their fears, growing in independence along the way. The children have made us so proud this week and their new found focus, problem solving skills and ability to over come some of their greatest fears will help them to prepare in their final build up to SATs. Well Done YEAR 6
Here are some of our favourite quotes from the children:
"I’ve learnt not to be scared of anything you haven’t tried before." Yussuf Y6P
"Although I couldn’t do the high swing I redeemed myself with this." Samuil Y6P
"I’ve never seen all the stars." Tanya Y6B
"I had to change my socks because I got mud on them." 4hrs later…"I’m starting to get used to getting muddy." Hassan Y6M
"This is the best moment in 8 years of Kensington." Henric Y6P
"‘Wow! I’ve never been anywhere without my mum!” Muznah Y6B
