A Cracking Week at Kensington
Kensington are currently the proud carers of six healthy ducklings.
On Tuesday, six fertilised duck eggs were delivered to us in an incubator and we were able to watch them hatch during the next couple of days. Our ducks are Pekin ducks; unlike the chicks we are not yet able to identify the gender of each one. At Kensington we believe in creating memorable and meaningful learning experiences and during the next week, all of the children will get to meet, stroke and observe the ducklings swimming. Within our lessons we will be learning more about their basic needs, the life cycle of a duck and making comparisons to different birds, such as birds of prey and the chicks we have had previously.
